WATCH: Miley Cyrus Sings “My Way” About Summer Scandals In ‘Saturday Night Live’ Monologue (VIDEO)
Miley Cyrus opened season 41 of “Saturday Night Live” by singing “My Way” about all the people “we’ll never think of” ever again, including Rachel Dolezal, the dentist who killed Cecil the Lion, Kim Davis, Jared Fogle Josh Duggar, and even “Lenny Kravitz’s junk.” Watch the video below.
Cyrus began her monologue by noting that one of the good things about live TV is that “my parents know where I am for 90 minutes.” She then said she wanted to sing about all those people from this past summer who had scandals that we’ll never think about again, including Dolezal, Kim Davis, Cecil the Lion’s killer, Pizza Rat, the Meek Mill/Drake Feud, Lenny Kravitz’s junk, the donut Ariana Grande licked, Jared Fogle, Josh Duggar and many more.
This is the third time Cyrus has hosted “Saturday Night Live,” and the second time she’s pulled double duty as host and musical guest. Her first time hosting the show was back in 2011, with The Strokes as the musical guest. She then returned in 2013 to host and perform. Cyrus has also appeared at other times on “SNL.” In 2013, Cyrus crashed Edward Norton’s monologue to give him pointers on how to host the sketch comedy show, as well as to announce her “Bangerz” tour.
