Miley Cyrus Slams Donald Trump For Saying “Stupid Ass Sexist S**t”
Miley Cyrus slammed Donald Trump again on Friday, this time over the Republican presidential frontrunner comparing the looks of his wife, Melania, with Ted Cruz’s wife, Heidi. The singer deemed Trump’s actions as more “stupid ass sexist s**t!”
Earlier this week, an organization in support of Cruz, but not personally affiliated with the GOP candidate, attacked Trump in an ad by showing a nude photo of his wife from a 2000 GQ photo shoot. The ad was presumably intended to dissuade the religious right from voting for Trump. On Tuesday, Trump tweeted, “Lyin’ Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin’ Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!”
Cruz and his campaign both denounced the ad, and insisted they played no part in its creation, but Trump refused to believe it. On Wednesday, the business mogul retweeted a fan made photo that featured a side-by-side shot of both candidate’s wives. The caption read, “No need to ‘spill the beans.’ The images are worth a thousand words.” Cruz responded shortly after, tweeting, “Donald, real men don’t attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life.”
In subsequent interviews, Cruz went on to call Trump a “sniveling coward” and told him to “leave Heidi the hell alone.” And later, Cruz spokeswoman Alice Stewart told CNN, “This is a sad state of affairs when we have someone who is running for president who makes derogatory and insulting comments, repeatedly, against women.” She added, “We’ve had Carly Fiorina. We’ve had Megyn Kelly. And now, Heidi Cruz. This is not just a whim. This is a pattern.”
On Friday, Cyrus spoke out against Trump’s latest display. The singer posted the juxtaposition photo of Melania and Heidi on Instagram, and wrote, “Trump can’t stop won’t stop saying stupid ass sexist s**t! Comparing two women! Are you f***ing kidding!” The singer went on to insist, “We will not allow you to destroy everything we have overcome as women! I feel as though we are stronger than ever as a unit.”
Cyrus went on to note that women “have an understanding and respect for one another,” and accused Trump of having zero regard for “anyone,” including “his fellow candidates, other races and religions, other public figures, just HUMAN BEINGS in general, and of course animals!” The singer concluded, “It’s absolute insanity that this has gone on this long and far! Wake me up from this nightmare someone PLEASE!”
As Gossip Cop reported, Cyrus first voiced her disdain for the GOP frontrunner earlier this month because of his pro-hunting stance. The singer vowed to move out of the country if Trump is elected president.
