Miley Cyrus To Give NBC Censors Run For Their Money With Primetime Bangerz Tour Concert Special
Miley Cyrus will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at her world tour in the new NBC concert special titled, “Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour,” set to air July 6.
On Thursday, the network announced that Cyrus and her upcoming concerts in Barcelona and Lisbon will be filmed, and serve as the focus for the two-hour documentary that aims to “examine what makes the music star such a global phenomenon.”
“There are few recording artists with the global success achieved by Miley Cyrus,” said Paul Telegdy, President of Alternative and Late Night Programming at NBC. “This unique special will offer an exclusive peek on how she engages with her crew and fans at one of her hugely popular concerts.”
We suspect NBC won’t be able to air any of Cyrus’ naughty antics like her simulating oral sex on a Bill Clinton impersonator, or on a giant, inflatable blow-up penis.
The gig is actually a big accomplishment for Cyrus, who was forced to put her tour on hold earlier this spring when she became seriously ill. After being treated for what was believed to be the flu, the star had a major allergic reaction to an antibiotic that landed her in the hospital for several days.
