Miley Cyrus did not step out with a “mystery man” over the weekend, despite a report. The man is only a “mystery” to clueless outlets like HollywoodLife, which choose speculation and sensationalism over research and facts.
The unreliable webloid writes, “Miley Cyrus was spotted driving through Malibu with a mystery man over the weekend after Liam Hemsworth revealed they are ‘not engaged.’ Is their rekindled romance in trouble, or dare we say it — nonexistent?” Naturally, the site doesn’t know the answers to its questions, and instead goes on to say Cyrus has “some explaining to do” after she was “pictured heading to lunch with a mystery man in Malibu over the weekend.”
“Miley and this mystery man were pictured leaving Nobu restaurant in Malibu, and she seemed happy as can be,” the bad blog notes. Again proving it knows nothing at all, HollywoodLies goes on to wonder, “Is he a new man in her life or just a friend? It’s possible Miley’s leaning on him for support after Liam recently dropped a huge bombshell about their supposed engagement.”
Mind you, this is coming from the same outlet that claimed to have “exclusives” about Cyrus’ love life in recent days. If HollywoodLife actually had legitimate sources, though, wouldn’t the site know exactly who the man is? Since the webloid obviously can’t solve this supposed “mystery,” allow Gossip Cop to.
Cyrus did not step out with a “new man” or a “new love interest.” She went out to eat with longtime pal Jackson Collins, who just so happens to be one of Hemsworth’s best friends and roommates. There was nothing illicit about this hangout, just like there wasn’t any of the previous times they’ve hung out.
The outing doesn’t prove Cyrus’ relationship with Hemsworth is “in trouble” or “non-existent.” But it does prove, once again, that HollywoodLife doesn’t know what the heck it’s talking about.
