Miley Cyrus Bails On L.A. Performance To Stay With Liam Hemsworth In Australia
Miley Cyrus bailed on a scheduled performance in Los Angeles on Tuesday night to remain in Australia with Liam Hemsworth, lending more credence that the two are rekindling in a big way. Cyrus was slated to be at a party in honor of songwriter Linda Perry and their track “Hands of Love,” which Perry wrote and Cyrus sang for the movie Freeheld.
Cyrus’ no-show was explained onstage by Perry, who said the singer was still in Australia, but made no mention of Hemsworth. Despite her absence, Perry had only good things to say about Cyrus. She admitted to E! that before working with the pop star, she expected Cyrus to be a “hurricane,” but instead the young singer “came in all chill, ready to be of service, sang the song like three times and was like, ‘Linda, do you need anything else?’” Perry also described Cyrus as “really sweet,” adding that she’s “a huge fan now because of that.”
Despite Cyrus not appearing, the night was still a success. Christina Aguilera and Courtney Love both performed at the party. For her part, Cyrus has not addressed her reuniting with Hemsworth in Australia.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Cyrus and Hemsworth spent part of the New Year’s holiday together with his family Down Under. They were spotted having lunch with a large group that included his brother, Chris, and also attended the Falls Music Festival in the beach town of Byron Bay, north of Sydney.
