Miley Cyrus Gives The Middle Finger In New Video Music Awards Promo (VIDEO)
Miley Cyrus is featured in a new promo for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards giving the middle finger to the camera. In the 15-second clip, the singer is wearing giant cherries on her head as she slowly raises her left middle finger in the air. Cyrus then gives the finger with her right hand as she sticks her tongue out and starts dancing. Watch the video below.
MTV, which will air the awards on August 30, captioned the video, “F*ck yeeeeeeeeaaah, @MileyCyrus!.” Cyrus’ middle finger promo comes exactly one week after Parents Television Council president Tim Winter slammed Cyrus in an exclusive interview with Gossip Cop, saying, “I think it’s unfortunate she built her entire career on the backs of parents and now she’s basically giving them the middle finger.” It’s unclear whether Cyrus filmed her teaser before or after Winter’s comment.
It’s likely, though, the PTC won’t be pleased with Cyrus’ latest promo. As Gossip Cop reported, Winter told us he was already expecting to see a “profane” and “sexually explicit” show with Cyrus as the host. “It’s not going to be safe for children to watch,” said Winter, adding, “With Miley’s shtick, it’s probably going to be very edgy, very profane, very sexually explicit.”
As Gossip also noted at the time, Cyrus came under fire back in 2013 for twerking on Robin Thicke during her VMA performance of “We Can’t Stop” and “Blurred Lines.” Check out Miley Cyrus’ latest VMA promo in which she gives the camera the finger, and tell us what you think.
