“Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s engagement was definitely an unexpected one,” says HollywoodLife, which goes on to “exclusively” report “that this out-of-the-blue commitment could have been propelled by Miley’s alleged ultimatum.”

Wait, it’s “out of the blue” for a couple to get engaged after dating for several years?

Anyway, according to a so-called “source” for the webloid, Cyrus was “feeling so insecure about Liam’s career sky-rocketing that she felt like she had to force him to commit to her for life.”

In fact, claims the source, the starlet was allegedly so “afraid” that The Hunger Games star would “eventually dump her,” that she decided to give him “an ultimatum: ‘Marry me or I will dump you.’”

Wait, Cyrus was worried Hemsworth would break up with her, so she decided to threaten to break up with him?

Okay… that makes no sense.

But that isn’t the only secret reason for the pending nuptials, claims HollywoodLife.

The supposed insider explains, “Miley has so many issues to work out right now and getting married is just a major distraction. She has absolutely no direction from her parents… they just want Liam to take care of Miley, so they don’t have to.”

Cyrus, who has been living on her own for a while, can’t take care of herself?

Okay… that makes no sense.

In any case, a source close to the couple assures Gossip Cop that the the engagement is about nothing more than the stars’ love for one another and desire to spend the rest of their lives together.

Furthermore, a rep for Hemsworth tells us that HollywoodLife’s “ultimatum” claim is 100 percent “not true.”
