Miley Cyrus: “Kardashians Are Better Than Donald Trump”
Miley Cyrus compares the polarizing aspects of the Kardashian family and Donald Trump in a new interview, noting how both are products of America’s obsession with celebrity, but also explaining why she believes “the Kardashians are better than Trump.”
The singer opens up about a variety topics for an interview in the latest issue of Variety, including how fame has influenced the 2016 election. “This is not a dig. But I do think there’s something that goes with the Kardashians and Trump,” Cyrus says. “The Kardashians are better than Trump, because they are not trying to run the country. They are just trying to be famous, and that’s fine.”
The pop star goes on to note how the country is “obsessed with celebrity,” adding, “When Trump started this, I was laughing. I thought it’s not going to go anywhere; there’s no way he’ll be the candidate.” Cyrus also admits that while she’ll undoubtedly be voting for Hillary Clinton, she was initially “a really big Bernie [Sanders] supporter.” She does, however, have a message for the “Bernie or bust” people who now refuse to vote for the chosen Democratic nominee. “ That’s f***ing crazy and you’re out of your mind,” insists Cyrus. “It’s literally pissing me off more than anything. If you could ever consider Donald Trump, you never understood Bernie in the first place.”
As Gossip Cop reported, the singer has been outspoken about her disdain for the Republican candidate. Earlier this year, Cyrus vowed to move if Trump was elected president, and shortly after that, Cyrus slammed Trump for comparing the looks of his wife, Melania, to Ted Cruz’s wife.
