Miley Cyrus And Dane Cook NOT “Hooking Up,” Despite Report
A so-called “source” convinced Us Weekly to publish a piece that claims Cyrus and Cook are casually dating. There are no other details in the tabloid’s story nor a single shred of evidence to back up the claim. Yes, Cyrus and Cook are friends, but that’s about it. Seemingly, male and female celebrities can’t be friends without it resulting in a tabloid headline about them “hooking up.”
As Gossip Cop has reported, Cyrus is a fan of Cook’s standup comedy and earlier this year attended his shows at The Laugh Factory and The Improv, where the duo snapped an Instagram photo together. However, posing together for a picture and dating are two very different things.
Gossip Cop has previously corrected Us Weekly for falsely claiming Cyrus was “hooking up” with a few celebrities. In December 2013, we busted the tabloid when it wrongly reported Cyrus was “hooking up” with Kellan Lutz, a close friend of her ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth. And in January 2014, Gossip Cop debunked an inaccurate story that alleged Cyrus was “hooking up” with Jared Leto after the two hit it off at a pre-Grammy’s party.
The tabloid’s latest “hooking up” tale is similarly false. Cyrus and Cook are friends, but they are not involved in a romantic relationship. A source close to Cyrus tells Gossip Cop the dating rumor is “not true.”
