Miley Cyrus Gets Emergency Restraining Order Against Arrested Fan Who Allegedly Threatened Death: Reports
Miley Cyrus received an emergency restraining order on Friday against a fan who has threatened to kill himself unless he meets her.
According to TMZ, 24-year-old Devon Meek was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department Threat Management Unit last week, and has since been put under a 5150 hold at a psychiatric facility.
Court documents claim Meek said he would “not stop seeking” Cyrus, and will go to her homes until she “accepts him or he dies.”
Meek also allegedly said the singer speaks to him through the radio, claimed she said she “adores” him in one of her songs, and requested to be shot in the head if he can’t meet her.
Meek, who is from Arizona, was taken into custody outside a property he believed was owned by Cyrus, says the Associated Press.
He’s been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the star.
A hearing to extend the stay-away order for three years is scheduled for June 16.
