Miley Cyrus “Dooo It” VMAs Video: Watch Performance And Listen To New Album!
Miley Cyrus did double duty at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, hosting the ceremony and then closing out the show with a wacky performance of a new song called “Dooo It,” before announcing her new album was streaming online. Watch and listen here!
In her monologue, Cyrus joked about how MTV had her host because that was the easiest way to keep her from performing. Of course, that ended up not being the case, and well before the ceremony was over, the show’s announcer revealed Cyrus would be taking the stage for a performance after all. Before she came out, though, supporters of Cyrus Happy Hippie Foundation, which supports the LGBT and homeless communities, gave a speech about inclusion.
Cyrus then came out and sang, “Yeah, I smoke pot. Yeah, I love peace. But I don’t give a f*ck. I ain’t no hippie.” The pop star repeated that several times, and was then joined on stage by a number off drag queens for a choreographed routine. “Sing about love, because love is what you need,” she went on to sing.
She later chanted, “Peace, motherf*cker repeatedly,” and had Wayne Coyne come out to shoot a cannon from underneath her crotch. At the end, Cyrus announced that her new album, Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz was online for free. Talk about a surprise!
As you’ll recall Gossip Cop reported, Cyrus caused a stir with her 2013 performance of “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke. Then at the 2014 ceremony, she won Video of the Year for “Wrecking Ball.” Now it’s safe to stay her hosting stint and latest performance will go down as yet another classic Cyrus VMAs moment.
