“Miley Cyrus Admits to Cutting??” reads a headline from Perez Hilton, who writes, “We really hope it’s not true, but pictures don’t lie.”

The blogger says, “All we want is for her to be happy and healthy, but we’re not so sure that she’s either anymore,” adding, “People were super worried about her weight loss — which seems to be about 20 pound in a flash.”

And now, Perez claims Cyrus “has been tweeting some red flags,” citing a recent post in which the singer wrote, “Scars remind us of where we’ve been. not where we’re going.”

Overlooking the fact that Cyrus just had stitches removed from a cooking mishap, and that she tweets inspirational quotes basically every single day, Perez insists, “When you connect the dots between the quote and things like the picture [right], things paint a bigger picture!”

Wow, that is so deep.

Perez further notes, “Those scars on her arm look like cut marks — recent enough ones, too,” adding, “If she is cutting, then we need to stand up with her and give her the support she needs!”

Oh, is that why the blogger posted a story implying Cyrus was cutting without bothering to fact-check the story with anyone in Cyrus’ camp?

How thoughtful!

In any case, a source close to Cyrus tells Gossip Cop, “She is not cutting.”

    A cut wouldn’t heal like that, it’s too pink for starters so I’m assuming it’s more of a burn or as GC says, a kitchen mishap.

    Looks more like she leaned against something with bars – I’v got a garden table that would produce that effect if you happened to press your skin against it. Though also – she is wearing a stripy top in that picture – maybe a shadow produced by those stripes?
    There are a million and one things it could be and it is very unlikely that even if Miley Cyrus was self harming she would do so in such an obvious area.

    well, Demi Lovato’s reps denied the same thing and look at what a mess she was/is…it still doesn’t look like cutting to me, and after the Demi thing, I think she would be less obvious/try to hide it better if she was. She’s under a lot of pressure to break out of Disney and I don’t think her new movie looks that great. And her boyfriend is now as famous as she is.

    I used to cut from the age of 14 until I was 25. I used to cut on my left wrist since I am right-handed. Usually the last cut or two were the darkest, deepest red since it would always take me some time to work up to cutting hard. Hence, the first few cuts were always pink and inflamed just like Miley’s. I’m not saying she’s doing this, but after 10 plus years of cutting almost everyday I can give you my well versed opinion on the matter. I don’t think it makes her “bad” or any less of a person. If she is a cutter then the best thing anyone could do for her is to acknowledge that she’s I’m some sort of emotional turmoil and HELP her before she gets to wrapped up in it. I finally stopped when I decided to make a serious attempt on my life at 25. I cut myself the “right” way. After I’d done it, I realized that I wanted to live more than die – I wasn’t sure I’d have the chance given to me again. Either way, doesn’t matter what any of us think. Trying to pick apart why she would cut herself or why she wouldn’t. The picture is blurred. But would anyone want to make an assumption that those are “tan lines” and not cuts at this point? Be vigilant and observant.

    That depends on whether she cares if someone sees. I didn’t always cover mine up, but I wasn’t really ashamed of it. You’re right though, most ppl are.

    Those are cuts. I’m a cutter, I would know. And the reason she doesn’t cover them up is because sometimes wearing a bandana or bracelets draws more attention to the location.
