I think Miley, if she has to smoke anything, would be better off smoking pot. It may be illegal but they know more about it. When you start reading about Salvia it’s being compared to LSD and Heroin. Miley is going to end up as the next Lindsay or Britney. She’s heading down that road very quickly. I hope she’s careful. Stop letting your friends take pictures of you doing stuff like this too. She should know by now it’s going to end up on the web, unless thats what she wants.

It could very well be salvia, but she didn’t smoke it the correct way, as the other girl speaking in the video pointed out she should have been tripping SO hard that she would be nearly incoherent, and she certainly wouldn’t have been aware of the other people in the room.

As someone who smoked the highest potency you can purchase, took an ENORMOUS hit and held it in for nearly a minute like you are supposed to, I was so incredibly high that I had no idea that anything had existed before I experienced the trip. I didn’t know I was a human being with a body and that other people existed. The world completely changed around me and the thing that makes the trip so frightening is that you have absolutely no control whatsoever over what you see or what happens to you. Your mind is no longer your own.

It was seriously the most terrifying fucking experience I have ever had. I had no body, there were things attacking me from all sides, I was halfway eaten by this thing that looked like a giant machine, and the whole time I felt like I was in a huge rolodex – I couldn’t stop the sensation of spinning, like I was in a washing machine.

I will never touch that shit again for as long as I live. No one – and I mean NO ONE! – I have ever spoken to has had positive things to say about their salvia experience. So I’m thinking she either didn’t hit it the right way… or they’re pretending it’s salvia when it’s actually something else to keep her from getting in trouble.

Oh, and on a final note: Oh my God does salvia taste horrible! For a plant that is related to sage, it sure doesn’t taste or smell nearly as good.

In regards to Spinilli’s comment, it’s true that Salvia is in *some* ways like LSD, but with LSD you are still aware of your physical self and you can, to a great extent, control what you’re seeing and feeling. With Salvia, you have completely surrendered to whatever crazy adventure your mind has in store for you. Often a negative experience because people are terrified of the unknown and of losing control. I have tried both, and whereas LSD (or “acid”) gave me a taste of Heaven… Salvia gave me a taste of Hell.

So it’s pretty weird to think that LSD, a drug from which many people have wonderful experiences, a drug which is documented to ward off or alleviate cluster headaches and migraines, is a class one drug that the government claims has no medical value (they claim pot has no medical value as well! HA! Cancer patients receiving nausea-inducing treatments can attest to the contrary for pot’s medical worth!) for which you can land yourself a life sentence in prison for selling but salvia, something that can literally scare people shitless, is perfectly legal and I have seen it for sale in nearly every head shop I’ve ever been in.

I can say that most of the “horror stories” associated with LSD/acid seem to be made up to me. Urban legends devised to scare kids away from experimenting. That’s my theory, not saying it isn’t true. From my experience it seems unlikely that one would be driven to harm his/herself or another person. For the most part, each time I used it I just sort of retreated into my mind and admired the beauty of everything around me (your senses are extremely sharp when you’re taking LSD). I was actually mesmerized by the beauty of life, realizing that everything is indeed united under the same natural forces, which some day in death we all return to. Oh yeah, and pretty colors and patterns exploded out of everything. LMFAO.

I guess what I want to put out there is this: Drugs do not MAKE you do anything; they simply eliminate the barriers you have built around yourself and often the fear of doing things you would normally think twice about, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t ultimately YOUR own decision to do something. People blame their actions on drugs because they can’t handle responsibility.

Miley is an adult now. She is no longer subject to the “but where the hell were her parents?!” argument. If it is salvia in that bong, she has every right to experiment with it as she pleases.

She is 18 and it is legal. Watching this video, she didn’t even smoke it correctly. She didn’t inhale it, so it had virtually no effect on her. She can’t be a role model and a Disney star forever. Let her live her life, at least she wasn’t drunk driving. People need to realize that she’s a grown woman who can do whatever she pleases
