Mildred Baena, the housekeeper with whom Arnold Schwarzenegger has a 13-year-old love child, has broken her silence.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, Baena describes realizing Schwarzenegger was her son’s father.

“It was as Joseph grew and I started to see the resemblance that I wondered – but it became more apparent as time went on,” she says.

“I knew Arnold was the father, and maybe as Joseph got older and began to look like him, [Schwarzenegger] wondered. But he never said anything to me.”

Baena also opens up about the moment Maria Shriver confronted her.

“She asked [about Joseph] point blank,” recalls Baena, who says Shriver “cried with me and told me to get off my knees.”

“We held each other and I told her it wasn’t Arnie’s fault,” recalls the housekeeper, explaining, “It takes two.”

Baena still has affection and good wishes for Schwarzenegger and Shriver, who separated after 25 years of marriage just days before the scandal broke.

“He’s a good man and I know he’s suffering, too. He loves Maria. I hope with time they work things out.”

  Umm…”it wasn’t Arnie’s fault”? Then whose was it? Her’s? Maria’s? Let him take responsibility for HIS OWN actions. He had a choice – just like ALL of us. He made his. Actions have consequences. Arnold has quite probably lost the love of wife and his children will never look at him the same way again. Was it worth it?

  Yeah I can totally see the resemblance, but the woman is not beautiful, so I don’t really get why the affair happened in the first place….Maria Shriver is beautiful to me, and has always shown a lot of class, even during this. Too bad for the whole family really….

  Class have nothing to do with a man when he needs affection and sex…we are all pointing fingers and do we know what kind of wife Maria was 13 years ago why Arnie went to the help for comfort….come on people however it happens there is a child involve and they all need to sort this out without putting everything in the media….they are grown folks, let them sort out there mess.

  Yes..you can see it..He is a combination obviously..but he has a strong resemblance to his dad and it will become stronger as he matures..In other photos he also has the Swarzenneger gap between his teeth…I see it clearly..the resemblance, that is..

  Although it takes two to tango, in this case I agree with you that “Arnie” owns the bulk of the responsibility. The woman involved does too, but it seems she is taking it all on..typical of many women with low self esteem. He was in a position of authority and he abused the power that goes along with that. As a political leader and this woman’s employer, and a husband and father, every move he makes is bound to be scrutinized and held to the highest standard of morality..He had to be aware of this..but he is a womanizer..he doesn’t respect women as human beings…from what I have heard he has a history of treating women as objects and using his status as an actor and a politician as a license to harass women with sexual language and groping. He has no respect for women as people..he’s sorry now because he was caught..As someone who tries not to be judgemental, I could forgive a one time ‘slip.’ But this guy is a womanizer and Maria chose to trust him. In one interview, she stated she was not a typical Kennedy woman in that she was not the kind who would simply “turn the other way” and pretend the cheating wasn’t happening. She is demonstrating that now and I have a lot of respect for her for walking away from the marriage. She will break the family legacy of condoning ‘men behaving badly’ …a good example for future generations of young women.

  He was a known womanizer..No respect for women..Even before the marriage..He thought he was entitled and would get angry when he was rebuffed. He thought his -S…was Ice Cream. And any woman who finds it empowering to prey on another woman’s husband has low self esteem…What their marriage was like is a private matter…Arnie’s womanizing ways were quite well known.

  It’s not about beauty…Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and some men would find this voluptious woman more beautiful than a skinny one. It’s not about beauty..It’s about loyalty…It’s about betrayal in a marriage..There will always be younger, better looking people that come along and a person who is committed in a marriage needs to be trustworthy. Really, Arnie (without the “Terminator” movie and his political status) is not in my opinion, a handsome man. He looks a little like Herman Munster to me. Chances are if he were a car salesman, the maid wouldn’t have given him a second look.

  Not at all..I don’t think ANYONE deserves to be cheated on in a marriage..When you said “when a man needs affection and sex” it seemed that you were implying that this is the reason he cheated, and that this should justify his actions. All I was saying was that this was more than likely not the first time, as Arnold was noted for being a “skirt chaser.” I agree it’s a private matter but the media loves to involve the public in private matters. I also believe if someone is at the point of wanting to cheat, it’s time to come clean, be honest, and either get some marriage therapy or consider a divorce. Some people (women included) aren’t really that unhappy in their marriages, but enjoy the thrill of cheating and getting away with it. I am guessing this was the case, considering the rumors about his womanizing..
