Mila Kunis Talks Ashton Kutcher: I’m Marrying My “Movie Star Crush”
Mila Kunis confesses that she never wanted to get married until she fell in love with her former co-star, Ashton Kutcher. The actress first met her fiancé on the set of “That ’70s Show” when she was only 14.
“I never wanted to get married,” she explains in the August issue of W magazine. “From the age of 12, I prepared my parents for no marriage. Then things changed — I found the love of my life.” Kunis notes, “Now my theory on weddings is: Don’t invite anyone. Do it privately and secretly.” “My parents are okay with that,” she adds. “They’re just excited that I said yes.”
Kunis and Kutcher only became a couple a few years ago, but he was there for many important moments when she was a teen. “My first real kiss ever was with him on the show,” she recalls. “And when ‘That ’70s Show’ had a prom, my date for the prom turned out to be my fiancé.” She declares, “We can honestly say that we went to prom together! Although I do think that in that episode I went home with someone else. We don’t talk about that part.”
“Not only did it introduce me to my fiancé,” Kunis says of the sitcom, “but I’m so grateful that all my mistakes are recorded for posterity.” Kunis observes that she went through puberty on television, and she is happy that Kutcher was there to witness it. “I grew five inches while I was on that show, and I had so many different eyebrow shapes!” she explains. “I went through everything embarrassing that a girl can go through in front of my fiancé. There’s no question that he’s seen the worst. I find that comforting.”
The pregnant star is looking forward to motherhood and taking a break from acting. “I have never wanted to be the person who only has business on her mind,” explains Kunis. “To me, this job has always been a hobby that turned into a great profession, but I don’t eat and breathe acting.” She notes,“I’m sure Meryl Streep has a very different point of view. But I’m excited about being a full-time mom.”
While the mom-to-be is excited about the next chapter of her life, she wishes the paparazzi would leave her alone. “They want a shot of my stomach because they need proof of my pregnancy,” says Kunis.”I don’t know why they even bother — they’ve been saying I’m pregnant for years. Now they’re right, so they won’t leave me alone.”
Although fame does have some perks. Kunis explains that she is introducing Kutcher’s cousins to her Jupiter Ascending co-star Channing Tatum. “They are so excited about meeting him,” she says. “We all get movie star crushes,” she adds. “I’m marrying mine.”
