Is “The Situation” Already in a “Dancing With The Stars” Love Triangle?

“Dancing With the Stars” doesn’t kick off its new season until September 20, but that hasn’t stopped Star magazine from getting a jump on those inevitable (and wrong) cast romance rumors!

According to the tabloid, the behind-the-scenes “love triangle” that “will heat up the show” entangles Cheryl Burke, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Bristol Palin.

Star says Burke “has her sights set” on “Jersey Shore” star Sorrentino… who’s “scheming to hook up” with Palin.

Burke is “infatuated” with Sorrentino, claims a magazine “insider,” and is hoping to pair up with him off the dance floor. Meanwhile, a different source tells Star, “Mike has two goals: to win the competition — and Bristol’s heart,” explaining, “He thinks she’s so hot. She’s definitely not a ‘grenade’!”

Maybe not, but this story totally bombs.

A rep for Burke tells Gossip Cop the dancer has met Sorrentino once — about six months ago for 5 minutes — and that there’s no infatuation. What’s more, the “Jersey Shore” hunk “hasn’t been anywhere near” the “Dancing” set yet.

And The Situation’s rep tells Gossip Cop that the Palin fixation is completely untrue.

Once again, Star is out of step.
