Mickey Rourke, 62, Wins First Boxing Match In 20 Years – WATCH VIDEO!
Mickey Rourke, who is 62, won a boxing match in Russia on Friday. The actor, who has dabbled in boxing for decades, defeated a 29-year-old fighter named Elliot Seymour in Moscow, knocking Seymour down and winning in the second round. Check out the video below!
The Wrestler star has never been defeated in the ring. In the early 1990s, he compiled a 6-0-2 professional record. Even though Rourke hadn’t fought since 1994 before Friday, the 20-year hiatus didn’t seem to affect him, as he delivered body shots to Seymour and won on a technical knockout.
Rourke dropped about 30 pounds for the match, showing off an unbelievable body transformation. He told Russian television the sport “sort of saved me from myself,” although his precise motivations and ambitions are not clear. If nothing else, Rourke proved that he can still hang with athletes less than half his age. He knocked Seymour to the mat twice before the referee stopped the bout and awarded the fight to Rourke.
