Mick Jagger Welcomes Eighth Child, Melanie Hamrick Gives Birth To Baby Boy
Mick Jagger is a dad for the eighth time! The rock legend’s girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick, gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday.
The delivery took place at a New York hospital, with Jagger by Hamrick’s side. “Mother and baby are doing well,” reps say in a statement, noting the couple is “delighted” over their new arrival. Details on the newborn’s name and weight were not provided.
As Gossip Cop reported, it was revealed back in July that Jagger would become a dad again at the age of 73. This is his first child with Hamrick, who is a 29-year-old ballet dancer. The Rolling Stones front man’s seven other children come from previous relationships.
Most famous among them may be 24-year-old model Georgia Jagger, whose mother is Jerry Hall. Jagger’s oldest child is 46-year-old Karis (with Marsha Hunt), and prior to today, his youngest was 17-year-old Lucas (with Luciana Gimenez Morad). In addition, the music icon also has five grandkids and one great-grandkid.
While Jagger is clearly still expanding his family, his career isn’t slowing down, either. He and the Rolling Stones just released Blue & Lonesome, a covers album, just last week, though they aren’t expected to tour for it. Gossip Cop now congratulates Jagger on welcoming his eighth child!
