Michelle Obama knows what she would do if Justin Bieber were her son. “I would pull him close,” the First Lady of the United States tells Univision. “I don’t know if it would be advice as much as action. I would be very present in his life right now.” She adds, “And I would be probably with him a good chunk of the time, just there to talk, to figure out what’s going on in his head, to figure out who’s in his life and who’s not, you know.”

Obama is quoted as saying that she notices that her own daughters “just want you near… they want [parental advice]… They want to see you on a daily basis.” Bieber, of course, is in the midst of personal turmoil including criminal charges in two countries.

President Obama’s White House has been petitioned by Americans demanding the pop star be deported. Gossip Cop is told by White House sources that there is no way Bieber will be deported, even if convicted of the current charges. And the chances of those sticking are minimal as well, since they’ll most likely be plea bargained down to lesser charges. It would take a felony conviction to have Bieber deported, and that’s not in the cards. What do you think about what Michelle Obama would do, if Bieber were her son?
