Michelle Obama to Appear on “iCarly”

Michelle Obama is set to appear on a special episode of “iCarly,” Nickelodeon‘s hit show starring Miranda Cosgrove.
The First Lady will use the platform to promote Joining Forces, an initiative designed to increase support for military families.
Cosgrove’s character, Carly Shay, is the daughter of an officer serving overseas in the armed forces.
When Shay’s best friends break rules to set up a web chat with her dad on his birthday, Obama “discovers it and comes to have a chat with them in the most positive way possible,” explains Nickelodeon president Cyma Zarghami.
The show’s creator Dan Schneider wrote the episode especially for the First Lady and her Joining Forces program.
It will likely air next January.
