I’m sure Ted Nugent wouldn’t want Barack Obama playing Wango Tango at one of his rallies (as if)! Politicians and their campaign staffs need to stop trying to get away with using copyright protected music, or any other medium for that matter, in their rallies and commercials without permission because it’s tantamount to saying the creator endorses your candidacy.

I used to enjoy Petty and his music. Now I’m just disgusted with his churlish and juvenile attitude. So much for my Tom Petty collection, it’s being deleted from my I-Tunes. I don’t need the work of a regressive liberal drone in my library. I prefer intelligent, rational artists.

He is intelligent and rational. It’s Michelle Bachmann who is irrational to think that a) he’d never find out, b) he wouldn’t mind when he did, and c) she’d somehow come across as hip, and get the rock-n-roll vote.

That really is your loss, This music is the livelyhood of these performers. There is a union that protects their music.Anyone must get permission prior to using it publicly. If you have their music in a jukebox in a bar or business anywhere for listening or dancing,you must pay a fee to their union. What those wonderful conservatives were doing without permission is called stealing. Guess they will just have to follow the rules like the rest of us drones.
