Michael Strahan Elected to Pro Football Hall of Fame
Michael Strahan was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.
The former New York Giants star, of course, is now Kelly Ripa’s co-host on “Live! with Kelly and Michael.”
He ranks fifth in NFL history with 141.5 sacks, including the single-season record of 22.5 in 2001.
Strahan’s selection came after a nine-hour meeting of the Hall of Fame’s Board of Selectors on the eve of the Super Bowl.
Ripa tweeted, “Congratulations to the incredible
@michaelstrahan a Giant among men! So proud to know you. X.”
Walter Jones, Andre Reed, Aeneas Williams, Derrick Brooks, Claude Humphrey and Ray Guy were also voted into the Canton, Ohio institution.
