Michael Phelps Wins Gold For Last Time in Olympic Career

Truth rating: 10

By Daniel Gates

Michael Phelps’ Olympic career is over.

The American swimmer, who became the most decorated Olympian in history, competed for the final time in London on Saturday, racing in the 4×100 medley relay.

So did Phelps’ time in the pool end with yet another gold medal?

Of course it did.

Phelps and his three teammates — Matt Grevers, Brendan Hansen and Nathan Adrian — finished in 3 minutes, 29.35 seconds to beat Japan and Australia.

The legend finishes his astonishing career with 18 golds and 22 overall medals, including four golds and two silvers in London.

Not too shabby.
