Michael B. Jordan Wants A “Creed” Sequel: “It Would Be Exciting To Come Back”
Michael B. Jordan is already game for a Creed sequel.
As Gossip Cop has reported, the spinoff to the Rocky franchise just opened in theaters on Wednesday. Jordan stars as Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky Balboa’s former opponent, Apollo Creed. Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as Rocky.
The movie has been receiving positive reviews from critics and moviegoers alike. And despite stiff competition from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2, it’s done a stellar job of holding its own at the holiday box office this weekend. Now if Jordan gets his way, he’ll be getting back in the ring for Creed 2.
“A character so rich as this, and the world he’s in, I want to see what happens to him next and what he does. Especially the way it ends off, it’s pretty cool,” the actor tells the Associated Press. “I think with success and time and circumstances, it would be exciting to come back and work with Sly and [co-star Tessa Thompson] again.”
Interestingly, Jordan made the sequel comments to the AP before Creed even hit theaters. They were published Saturday in the wake of the film’s early box office success. TELL US: Have you seen Creed yet, and you think there should be another installment?
