Meryl Streep won her first Academy Award since 1983 on Sunday.

The Iron Lady star, nominated for the 17th time, beat out Viola Davis and three other contenders to nab her third win overall.

    Wayyy to overrated.Don’t get me wrong I think she is a good actress but so does Susan Sarandon.It just that sometimes she just getting too much of praises.

    Nah… she is still the best out there, and she has been robbed of Oscars by many of those less deserving (Kate Winslet for The Reader? WTF!?!). Each of Meryl’s roles is flawless, and even though this year she had very tough competition with Glenn Close and Viola Davis, she deserved the Oscar for what is probably the best performance of her career.

    90% of the academy voters are white. It was decades ago, when a person of color won for best actress/actor. Viola did a wonderful job, she deserved the oscar. This is BS.

Your, “look at people for who they are,” cliche is an excuse to hide the fact about racial inequality in our society. In movies, who do you mostly see as the leading lady/man? BS if you say they’re equally cast (racially). Have you seen any Latino get an oscar? NO! Get a clue and stop lying to yourself.
