He’s an odd fellow but he makes dang good movies. Who in Hollywood doesn’t fit that description?

The guy takes risks, both personally and professionally. No one would touch his “Passion of the Christ” movie, and after he financed it himself, he made gazillions from it. Add “Braveheart” and “Apolalypto;” add gazillions more. I’d watch anything he makes. As for his private life, well, Mel is Mel. I don’t pay to see his private life. The same goes for other artists who have issues or points of view I may not agree with. I can’t stand Sean Penn, but he’s a terrific actor. Can’t stand Dave Matthews’ political agenda, but I love his music. And on it goes.

Fallen star please !! theres only 1% of the worlds population that has a problem with the guy yet they seem to have the loudest voices or ridiculous availability to press radio and film.. Hard to imagine.. Keep up the good work Mel, I hate to think this but I think he’s Human…

i am not a fan of Gibson. never liked any of his movies. however, he made a very valid statement. if one does not have privacy in one’s own home (including crazy ranting and vulgarities to attack any person, race or group), then what is “freedom”? if people outside your family put electronic device in your home, record all voice and visuals and send the information to public media. would you say, “right on!” or “you deserved it”? we should not dismiss this as trivial just because it is Mel Gibson, a not so sympathetic figure.

Speak for yourself, pal. I’ve always enjoyed Mel Gibson’s movies, both in front of and behind the camera. The man has real talent. Is he guilt of being human? Absolutely. So what? I don’t go to see his movies because I give a fig about his personal life. If I really cared what actors/actresses did in their spare time, I’d probably never see another movie again.

Look at that recording, not the fake transcript of it made by the wrap and copy pasted by all othermedia.
Nowhere does mel gibson name oksana nor say “she” he was all the time tlaking to joe and about joe.
Mel Gibson never said “filthy ..that take advantage of me” THOSE WORDS ARE NOT IN THE RECORDING!

i even think its 2 tapes 2 tracks put together in one of 2 different recordings pujt together later on , and that mle was uyieling at joe who was there and holding an ipod and then later on recorded people eating inthe living room and put the 2 together wiht the diningroom conversations put as background and mel gibsons voice computed as main and front´sound.
This was doen on a ocmputer using an audio software.

Beside tampering with the recording and editing it, joe comited a crime tha tis puibnished by law in costa rica with 7 years in jail.
Joe was invited to work on his drraft with mel gibson for a week but he came empty handed he could have stayred home he came ot enjoy mle gibsons home and hospitality, giving nothing for it.
