Mel Gibson Proposing To Rosalind Ross?
Mel Gibson is NOT proposing to Rosalind Ross, despite a report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim. We’re told there’s no engagement in the works.
The allegation can be found in the pages of this week’s Star, which claims Gibson “wants to marry his much-younger girlfriend.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Mel’s crazy about her. He keeps saying they should run away to Bali and get married on the beach. Just the two of them. No one else.”
Gibson, however, is supposedly not “willing to risk losing what’s left of his fortune after his ex-wife, Robyn Moore, walked away with half — a reported $425 million payout — at the end of their 31-year marriage.” And so it’s claimed “Mel’s legal team is putting together an ironclad prenup for Rosalind to sign,” in which she “would receive $10 million in cash and a $5 million mansion if they stay married at least four years.”
“But Rosalind insists that money doesn’t matter. She loves Mel, not his bank balance,” the supposed “source” tells the magazine, which even encourages, “Well, then, somebody get this girl a pen!” It’s actually pretty amusing, since Star sister publication the National Enquirer claimed in November that Ross had “dumped” Gibson.
So now the tabloids have gone from one extreme to the other, and this new claim is just as wrong as the last. A rep for Gibson exclusively tells Gossip Cop that it’s NOT TRUE he and Ross are getting engaged.
