Mel Gibson apologized to Oksana Grigorieva the morning after he allegedly beat her, according to a report.

At 8:38 am on January 7, Gibson wrote an e-mail expressing concern about Grigorieva’s tooth, claims RadarOnline. The star had allegedly twice punched his girlfriend in the head only hours earlier.

“Could you please call me,” Gibson reportedly wrote at 9:50 am. “I want to tell you how unspeakably sorry I am.”

The purported e-mails were obtained by law enforcement officials investigating accusations that the actor-director became physically abusive with Grigorieva and their daughter Lucia.

What happened on the night of the alleged altercation has become a major focal point in the scandal fueled by numerous frightening recorded phone conversations between Gibson and Grigorieva.
