Is Megan Fox moving on from battling robots to facing off with pirates?

According to Showbiz Spy, the former Transformers star “is mulling over a number of big movie offers including another sci fi franchise and a role in the next Pirates of the Caribbean.”

The source even dishes that Fox “would play a mermaid who charms Captain Jack but she has a dark motive.”

“Megan has always loved Johnny [Depp],” the source alleges, “and is desperate to work with him.”

While it’s accurate that Fox’s name is being bandied about for several roles, this mermaid tail, er, tale sinks.

A rep for Disney confirms to Gossip Cop, the “story is not true.”
