Megan Fox on Lindsay Lohan: “I’m Not Interested in Following in Those Footsteps”

Megan Fox shows off her amazing post-baby body in the February issue of Esquire, where she opens up about fame, religion, and not wanting to follow in the path of troubled stars like Lindsay Lohan.

The This is 40 actress tells the mag why she removed her Marilyn Monroe tattoo, revealing, “I started reading about her and realized that her life was incredibly difficult. It’s like when you visualize something for your future. I didn’t want to visualize something so negative.”

Fox explains, “She was sort of like Lindsay [Lohan]. She was an actress who wasn’t reliable, who almost wasn’t insurable… She had all of the potential in the world, and it was squandered. I’m not interested in following in those footsteps.”

The star also talks about the downside of fame, saying, “I don’t think people understand. They all think we should shut the f*ck up and stop complaining because you live in a big house or you drive a Bentley. So your life must be so great.”

Fox adds, “What people don’t realize is that fame, whatever your worst experience in high school, when you were being bullied by those ten kids in high school, fame is that, but on a global scale, where you’re being bullied by millions of people constantly.”

She also discusses religion and church, sharing, “There I feel safe. I was raised to believe that you’re safe in God’s hands. But I don’t feel safe with myself.”

The mag hits newsstands on January 15.

    I like the feeling safe in God’s hands (so true) hope she raises her son in church too like ReeseW who regularly goes to church with her family. Only thing is wasn’t she suppose to cover up after being a mom… her own words?!?! Esquire? Really?!? Kind of contradictory then.

Oh the horrors of being pretty and making millions for posing you are a whiner and ungrateful yes all celebs shut up or get out the profession if you cant handle it and make room for those who deserve it. What happened to dressing more conserative since your son was born guess once that dollar amount was seen you compromised your new found morals. All of Hollywood is full of pretentious assholes with shits for brains.

    There are so many ways that I want to challenge this moronic comment, but instead I will just say- I love it when someone who is in a position of reaching others admits she is not all knowing, and all powerful and that the challenges of life are best handle by faith in a benevolent, loving creator who can see the before and after.

    I feel sorry for you commentator- believing you have all the answers and there can not be a God because (insert disbelief here: bad things happen, life isn’t fair, etc.) and you probably argue night and day about empirical proof. Here’s something I believe- I’ll bet Megan Fox is much happier than you are.

    Who are you to call someone ignorant? Or Stupid? You don’t know what she’s like day to day. What her grades were in school, if she’s a veracious reader, what her IQ is. You read a few quotes from her and because of how beautiful she is, she must be stupid?

    Well at least she has enough sense there. She talks about Lindsay as if she never even starred in the same movie as her (Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen).
