Megan Fox Gets Apology from Magazine for Controversial “Unattractive Girl” Misquote

Truth rating: 10

(Jalouse)

Megan Fox has received a public apology from French magazine Jalouse after the publication misquoted her in an April cover story.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the mag quoted her as saying, “I live well with my image. I cannot complain. I would not trade my place with an unattractive girl.”

Fox was criticized for the alleged “quote,” and the Friends With Kids actress slammed the magazine, stating that her “actual comment, the context and its intention are grossly distorted and misrepresented here.”

Now, Jalouse is publicly apologizing for its gaffe.

The mag printed a retraction that reads, “In a Jalouse cover story featuring Ms. Megan Fox, we unfortunately misquoted Ms. Fox. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

Fox thanked the publication for the apology on her Facebook page.

why did Jane mag have to appologize to this insufferable talentless brat about misquoting her if it were Vanessa Redgrave they had misquoted I could understand the appology because she could sue them out of business if she wanted to

It was very gracious of them to apologize. They did the right thing, even if it meant acknowleging their mistake. Glad that’s cleared up

They apologized because it was the right thing to do, misquoting is misquoting regardless of the amount of talent or plastic surgery the person has. Especially under these circumstances, when there had been a lot of hostility and name calling towards Fox over the comment. I’m not a fan, but she has just as much of a right as everyone else to not be judged for things she didn’t say.

Doesn’t matter if you think she has talent or not. They apologized because it was the right thing to do.
