Meek Mill Responds To Drake With Diss Track “Wanna Know” — LISTEN HERE!
As Gossip Cop reported, the bad blood first began after Meek Mill went on a Twitter rant last week in which he alleged Drake used a ghostwriter for the verses used on his song “R.I.C.O.” Mill tweeted, “Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps!”
While Drake didn’t reply on Twitter, he instead dropped two diss tracks. First, Drake released “Charged Up” on Saturday night, with lyrics that included, “I did some charity today for the kids, but I’m used to it cause y’all charity cases.” He also rapped that he was “done doing favors for people.”
That was followed by Wednesday’s second tune, “Back To Back,” in which Drake ripped Mill for being the opening act of girlfriend Nicki Minaj’s “Pinkprint Tour.” Drake sang, “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour? I know that you gotta be a thug for her, this ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more.”
Late Thursday, Mill came back with an attack on Drake called “Wanna Know.” Mill rapped, “All I hear is platinum that and platinum this, meanwhile I’m on the carpet with a platinum chick.” Then, going back to accusing Drake of having a ghostwriter, Mill sang, “I just wanna know, was it Quentin Miller, was it Usher, was it Detail, where you really got your flow?”
As Gossip Cop noted a few days ago, in response to Mill’s previous allegation that Drake has a ghostwriter, Quentin Miller himself responded on Tumblr, “I am not and never will be a ‘ghostwriter’ for Drake. I’m proud to say that we’ve collaborated… but I could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together.”
For his part, Drake laughed off Mill’s diss track “Wanna Know,” posting a photo on Instagram of himself cracking up (see below).
