Matthew McConaughey Pops the Question to Longtime Girlfriend Camila Alves

Matthew McConaughey is getting married!

On Christmas, the longtime bachelor asked his girlfriend and the mother of his two children, Camila Alves, to marry him.

McConaughey revealed the news on his WhoSay account, writing, “just asked camila to marry me, merry Christmas.”

He also posted a photo of the two of them kissing (right) moments later.

The one-time “Sexiest Man Alive” and Alves, who have been dating since 2006, are the parents to three-year-old son Levi and nearly two-year-old daughter Vida.

    Congratulations of some sort are in order, I suppose, so congratulations. Really do not admire the baby momma-baby daddy way of doing things. If you’re committed enough to have children together, you should certainly be committed enough to get married first. Having kids is going to guarantee you are in each others lives one hell of a lot longer than just a marriage. You can divorce your spouse, but you can’t divorce your kids. If you’re worried about the money issues, get a pre-nup.
