Matthew McConaughey And Wife Camila Alves NOT “On The Rocks,” Despite Report
Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves are not “on the rocks” because she’s been making more TV appearances, despite a wholly fabricated report in one of the tabloids this week. Gossip Cop can correct this report. We’re told there’s no truth to it.
According to OK!, while McConaughey has publicly thanked his wife for helping to revive his career, “he doesn’t want her to have the same success.” After noting how Alves has recently done some hosting on E! and appearances on the “Today” show, the tabloid quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “He’d rather she focus on family life.” The magazine’s supposed source further alleges that McConaughey’s view has led the couple to have “nonstop fights,” with their friends fearing the parents of three will soon split up.
Here’s what’s true: McConaughey and Alves are married. Here’s what’s not true: Everything else. A mutual pal of Gossip Cop and Mcconaughey’s tells us, “[McConaughey] couldn’t be more supportive of anything Camila does.” Additionally, a rep for McConaughey says it’s not true that the actor and Alves are “on the rocks” or fighting about her stepping out into the limelight on her own.
Of course, the writers at OK! have pretty fertile imaginations. Six months ago, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid when it fabricated a story that claimed McConaughey and Alves were expecting a fourth child. That story was totally made-up and so is the magazine’s latest tale.
