Matt LeBlanc Now A “Recluse”?
Is Matt LeBlanc now a “recluse”? A story from the tabloids claims the actor has such “paranoia,” he rarely goes out. Gossip Cop looked into the report, and here’s what we found out.
“How’s Matt LeBlanc doin’? Not very well,” write Star, claiming, “The TV star is so paranoid about getting sued, he’s practically become a recluse!” A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “Matt used to be really outgoing and loved to have people over, but he’s always reading about celebs getting hit with lawsuits over random things, and it’s made him edgy.”
The piece goes on to reference LeBlanc’s daughter, with the supposed source saying, “He avoids school functions and won’t even consider letting her friends come over.” The magazine claims “at the root of it is Matt’s desire to protect his dwindling fortune.” Adds the alleged tipster, “He doesn’t have roles coming in, so his money needs to last — he knows a lawsuit could wipe him out financially, and he’s not taking any chances.”
Wow… as in wow, this story is embarrassingly wrong. LeBlanc “doesn’t have roles coming in”? Uh, the former “Friends” star currently has THREE jobs. In addition to his Showtime series “Episodes,” LeBlanc is the host of “Top Gear,” and has a new sitcom, “Man With A Plan,” premiering on CBS this fall.
With so many gigs, it’s pretty much impossible for LeBlanc to be a “recluse” even if he wanted. And considering “Top Gear” is about racing dangerous cars, clearly he isn’t worried about lawsuits. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with the actor’s rep, who exclaimed, “Where do they get their info?!” Clearly not from accurate “insiders.”
