Matt Damon NOT Selling Pacific Palisades Mansion, Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
Matt Damon is NOT selling his Pacific Palisades mansion, despite a recent report. Gossip Cop can correct the story, which we’re exclusively told is false.
“Two well-placed celebrity real estate snitches” told Variety that the actor “has furtively floated his Zen-modern mansion in the celeb-saturated upper Rivera area of Pacific Palisades as a super-secret whisper listing with an asking price of around $20 million.” The story doesn’t provide any explanation for why Damon is supposedly selling his pad, but instead details the home’s extravagant features.
He and wife Luciana Barroso purchased the residence in 2013 for $15 million. But despite the potential $5 million profit, the couple has no plans to sell. Gossip Cop is exclusively told that the listing allegation is completely untrue, and the mansion is NOT for sale.
Not surprisingly, Star used the wrong rumor to bulk up its false “divorce” cover story. As Gossip Cop noted earlier, the new issue of the tabloid claims Damon and Barroso are on the brink of divorce, but also working on their marriage. The magazine alleged that putting the Pacific Palisades home on the market was a sign that they wanted to leave Hollywood.
Perhaps Star should lead to read signs better and Variety should get better sources. There’s no divorce, there’s no last-ditch effort to save the marriage, and there’s no home for sale.
