Matt Damon Begging Wife Luciana To Try And Get Pregnant With Baby Boy?
Matt Damon is not begging his wife Luciana Barroso to have a baby so he could possibly have a son after four daughters, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told it’s simply “not true.”
According to the National Enquirer, Damon wants to “try for the son he’s always dreamed of.” The tabloid claims he’s convinces Barroso “to get pregnant in a last-ever bid for a boy.” A so-called “insider” tells the magazine, “She’s willing, but on one condition; Matt promises to not be upset if it’s another girl.”
“Luciana’s turns 40 this year, so they don’t want to waste any time. Matt’s on a total high right now with ‘The Martian,’ but he’s ready to refocus on his home life,” says the outlet’s seemingly fabricated “source” in unnatural language after having Googled Barroso’s age. The same apparently fictitious “insider” reiterates, “Matt’s under strict orders to smile like it’s his firstborn if they have another girl,” and adds with absolutely no reason or logic, “Luciana’s agreed to start trying after the Oscars.”
Before Gossip Cop reveals what an actual Damon insider says, let’s examine how fake the tabloid’s story is. First off, no real source would say in normal conversation, “Luciana’s turning 40 this year” or bring up rather randomly that he was in The Martian this year. Additionally, the line about them waiting about 10 days “to start trying after the Oscars” to have a boy contradicts the previous phrase about “they don’t want to waste any time.” All those phrases by the (nonexistent) Enquirer source are completely immaterial, and serve no function other than to make the magazine look like it knows something about Damon, which it does not.
Of course, the magazine has proven time and again that its Damon sources are either made-up or truly ill-informed. In the past Gossip Cop, busted the outlet for a fabricated story about how an orangutan in We Bought A Zoo threw poop at Damon because it was supposedly “jealous” of his friendship with co-star Scarlett Johansson. We also corrected the tabloid for its false report about Damon being concerned about contracting HPV from kissing Michael Douglas in Behind The Candelabra. And Gossip Cop further exposed the publication for making up a tale about how Damon and Ben Affleck were fighting over the chance to play Paul Newman in a biopic. Every single one of those claims were untrue.
Still, Gossip Cop checked with a mutual pal of ours and Damon, and we’re exclusively told the tabloid’s latest story is similarly a fabrication. Damon and his wife are not trying to have another baby, so he can have a boy. Our impeccable insider assures Gossip Cop the magazine’s new story is 100 percent “not true.”
