Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not be reprising their shared role as Michelle Tanner on Netflix’s “Fuller House.” Executive Producer Robert L. Boyett made the announcement in a statement on Friday. “Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of ‘Fuller House,’ I know how much ‘Full House’ has meant to them and they are still very much considered family.”

The statement continued, “It has been exciting to see how they have built their careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards ‘Fuller House.'”

As Gossip Cop reported, a majority of the original “Full House” cast members are set to return for the spin-off show. “Fuller House” will center around Candace Cameron-Bure’s character D.J. Tanner, who is now a widow with two children and pregnant with her third. She asks her sister, Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and her best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber) to move in with her and help her raise her family. Other returning cast members, so far, are John Stamos as Jesse and Dave Coulier as Joey. It’s believed Lori Loughlin and Bob Saget are still in negotiations for returning to “Fuller House.”
