Two weeks into the competition, “Dancing with the Stars” eliminated its first pairing on Tuesday night.

Tennis player Martina Navratilova and partner Tony Dovolani were sent home after accumulating the lowest amount of points based on the judges’ scores and viewers’ votes.

Singer Gavin DeGraw and pro Karina Smirnoff were also in jeopardy.

    Not surprised. Tony is ALWAYSSSSS off early. Poor guy. Makes me wonder if he ASKS to be eliminated early.

    She really was the weakest dancer, no news there! But its always sad to see someone go. Or almost always :)

    Agree with Aimzers84. I really like Tony and I think he is a great dance teacher. But it is his misfortune to be tall, so he is always selected to partner the tall women. So far none of them have been particularly good dancers. He does his best and really gets them dancing quite well. I wonder also if he wants to be voted off early….although I certainly can’t imagine why he would. Remember Tony was one of the dance teachers in the dance movie with Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere. Come on DWTS, unless he wants to go first, give Tony a decent partner!!

    I think the way that this show partners off the stars isn’t exactly fair. Not only for the stars but for the teacher as well. I mean, Tristan had Nancy Grace last year and then this year he has another older lady. He’s a young guy, it makes the dancing odd to watch when you see a 20 something guy dancing with a women who is 20 years or more older. It makes me wonder if they partner off the teachers in regards to who which star, the show wants to win.
