Martin Short opened his “SNL” monologue about Christmas.

Accompanied by Paul Shaffer, Short sang about Christmas being “when the most babies are conceived,” because it’s the “horniest” and most “promiscuous” time of the year.

There were also lots of cameos including Kristen Wiig, Jimmy Fallon, Tom Hanks, Tina Fey, and Samuel L. Jackson.

    This was a pretty good opining monologue. I enjoyed it a lot, but my
    favorite skit of the night would have to be the Royal Family Doctor. I can’t
    say how funny it is when a cast member breaks character. It was a good way to
    end my week. I was working late at DISH last night, so I was unable to see the
    show live on TV. Knowing this, I set my DISH Hopper to automatically record the
    show so that I could watch it the next morning. It’s nice having the entire
    season on my DVR with more than enough space left to record my other shows.
    Martin Short was great on SNL and I hope to see him host again soon.
