Mark Wahlberg Joins New Kids On The Block On Stage For First Time In 20 Years (VIDEO)
The actor, of course, used to be known as Marky Mark, and was one of the boy band’s original members. He quit, however, after just a few months, while brother Donnie Wahlberg remained in the chart-topping group. NKOTB went on to mega-fame, before breaking up in the mid 1990s.
Donnie and the gang reunited in 2008, and have been touring ever since. That led NKOTB to back-to-back concerts at New York’s Madison Square Garden this week as part of “The Main Event” tour. During Sunday’s show, 50 Cent and Biz Markie were brought out for surprise performances of “In Da Club” and “Just A Friend.”
They returned for Monday’s concert, but this time 50 brought Wahlberg along. The rapper said he wanted to “turn things up a notch,” left the stage, and then returned with the Ted 2 star. Unfortunately for fans, though, Wahlberg didn’t do any rapping or singing.
After the show, Donnie took to Instagram to share a photo of he and his brother hugging on stage. “Marky Mark retired 25 years ago, but I still loved sharing the stage w my brother @mark_wahlberg tonight,” he wrote, adding. “Thanks 50!!” Check out the videos below!
