Mark Wahlberg Teases Justin Bieber Project On ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show’ (VIDEO)
Wahlberg was on the talk show to promote his new movie, Patriots Day, and during the chat, DeGeneres asked about his 13-year-old daughter Ella. The actor responded by discussing the ways the teen is growing up, and recounted, “We’ll be having dinner — I had a very successful friend who was there, and she’s a big fan. We invited him over for dinner.”
DeGeneres, of course, wanted to know who the guest was as Walhberg went on to recall how Ella was fixated on her phone with Musical.ly. But the host pressed on, prompting him to reveal, “It’s a young man, [a singer] who’s been here before. And he’s a very nice young man. Canadian fellow. And she liked him a lot when she was younger, turned on him completely, and then came back with a vengeance, like, ‘Dad, that’s gonna be my husband.'”
Walhberg that cracked, “I said, ‘Over my dead body.’ Actually, ‘Over both of your dead bodies. I’ll just go back to jail.'” So, with all those clues, DeGeneres concluded, “So Justin Bieber is sitting there…” She then went on to ask, “Are you going to work together?”
“Maybe,” Walhberg cryptically replied. As Gossip Cop reported, in 2011 he and Bieber were in talks about collaborating on a basketball movie, and in 2012, the singer was said to have interest in remaking Wahlberg’s Fear. Neither has come to fruition, but now fans have a new reason to be hopeful. Check out the video below!
