Mark Salling has been indicted by a federal grand jury in his child pornography case.

The indictment, which was handed down on Friday, charges the “Glee” star with receiving and possessing child porn. For the receiving count, he faces five to 20 years in prison if convicted. For the possession count, he could get up to another 20 years behind bars.

As Gossip Cop reported, Salling was arrested last December. A police raid of his home by the LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force led to the seizure of his laptop, which allegedly contained more than a thousand pornographic images and videos involving kids. A flash drive was also uncovered during the search, and it’s said that featured photos of a minor under 12 years of age and another prepubescent child.

At the time, it was alleged some of the illicit material included girls under the age of 10 engaged in sexual acts, with the search warrant executed following a tip from a former girlfriend. Following his arrest, Salling was released on bail with help from his family. Though set at $20,000, the actor’s put down $2,000, or 10 percent, to secure his release.

Salling has kept a fairly-low profile in the months since, and has never publicly commented on the allegations. It’s unclear if he intends to plea not guilty, or if a plea deal is in the works, but he has agreed to be arraigned on June 3. The actor is pictured above last November.
