Mariska Hargitay Adopts Baby Girl

Mariska Hargitay is a new mom!

The “Law & Order: SVU” star and husband, Peter Hermann, are the parents of a baby girl named Amaya Josephine.

The little girl, born about a week ago, was adopted in the U.S.

Hargitay’s rep tells Gossip Cop: “The couple are overjoyed by the wonder of their new daughter. Her brother, [four-year-old] August, is thrilled to have the sister he’s always wanted.”

Hargitay and Hermann married in August of 2004.
