Marion Cotillard And Michael Fassbender NOT Secretly Dating, Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
The allegation appears in Star, which says that although Cotillard is in a long-term relationship with Guillaume Canet, she and Fassbender, her co-star in the upcoming Macbeth movie, “have been so affectionate between takes, you’d think they were a couple in real life.” The magazine alleges Cotillard’s taken status “hasn’t stopped” her from “getting cozy” with Fassbender, who allegedly calls the actress his “bella” on set.
Star furthers claims Cotillard and Fassbender have been spotted “cuddling,” and quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “Their chemistry is evident.” So, what about Canet, the father of Cotillard’s son? The tabloid alleges, “Their careers have kept them apart for months, and she’s finding comfort in Michael’s company.”
Enough. Here’s what’s true about the Star article: Cotillard and Fassbender appear together in Macbeth. Here’s what’s not true: Everything else. There is no secret “Shakespearean romance” going on between takes, as there are NO MORE takes. Macbeth filmed in early 2014, more than a year ago. The movie is premiering at the Cannes Film Festival next week. Star and its “source” are apparently ill-informed and have no concept of time. Regardless, Gossip Cop still investigated the allegations, and we’ve learned they are entirely untrue.
