Marilu Henner Nails ‘Most Memorable Year’ Dance On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (VIDEO)
Marilu Henner and her partner Derek Hough gave her strongest performance on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.” They danced a Viennese waltz to Jack Garratt’s “Surprise Yourself” on the show’s “Most Memorable Year” night. Watch the video below.
Last week, Henner struggled a bit with her paso doble. As Gossip Cop reported, Henner received some of the lower marks on “Cirque du Soleil” night, earning her just 21 out of 30 points. With the exception of Week Four, Henner has been among the higher scorers on this season’s “Dancing With The Stars.”
Of course, every year (and day) is memorable for Henner, who has a condition known as hyperthymesia or highly superior autobiographical memory. The actress amazingly can remember virtual every detail of every day since she was a child. But for her most memorable year on “Dancing With The Stars,” the actress chose 1978. Henner explained, “It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times.” She noted it was the year her mother passed away, but also the same year that she was cast in “Taxi.”
For her and Derek Hough’s Viennese waltz, Carrie Ann Inaba felt, “You are great.” Julianne Hough expressed, “You absolutely did it tonight!” And Bruno Tonioli exclaimed, “Brilliant.” As a result, Henner secured 27 out of 30 points.
