Marilu Henner Wows On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Broadway Night (VIDEO)
Marilu Henner and her partner Derek Hough wowed the judges and audience alike with their samba on Monday’s Broadway-themed “Dancing With The Stars.” The pair danced to “December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night)” from “Jersey Boys.” Watch the video below.
Henner was beginning to emerge as one of the competition’s top contenders, having early on nailed a foxtrot to the theme of the show “Taxi,” followed a little later by her emotional Viennese waltz on “Most Memorable Year” night and a cha cha on “Latin Night.” But then she faltered mid-season during “Eras Night” with her Charleston and then again on Halloween with her Argentine tango.
This time around, guest judge Idina Menzel said, “You looked like you were having a good time… You did an amazing job.” Carrie Ann Inaba said, “What I saw was a true partnership,” adding, “It was really fun to watch.” Julianne Hough expressed, “You were enjoying yourself… You had a real samba.” She continued, “What a night for you, Marilu.” And Bruno Tonioli noted, “You had warmth, you had joy.”
For their routine, Henner and Hough scored a total of 36 out of 40 points. To see Marilu Henner and Derek Hough’s samba to “December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night)” from “Jersey Boys” on Monday’s “Showstoppers”-themed “Dancing With The Stars,” watch the video below or click here.
