Mariah Carey Seemingly Disses Nick Cannon In New Song “Infinity” – LISTEN!
Carey sings, “Why you mad, talking bout you mad, could it be that you just lost the best you ever had?” The singer continues, “Close the door, lose the key, leave my heart on the mat for me. I was yours, eternally, there’s an end to infinity, to infinity.” The lyrics also include lines such as, “boy you actin’ so corny like Fritos,” and “everything you own boy you still owe.”
Many feel “Infinity” is clearly a diss track about Cannon, who filed for divorce from Carey last December. The song was produced by Carey’s long-time collaborator Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who also helped oversee her hit 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi.
“Infinity” will be included on an upcoming compilation of the singer’s 18 Hot 100 #1 hits entitled Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity. The greatest hits album is scheduled to be released on May 18. The music video for “Infinity,” which is being directed by her pal Brett Ratner, is in the works.
