Mariah Carey Son Moroccan Dragged Away From Walk Of Fame Ceremony Crying And Screaming — WATCH VIDEO HERE
Wednesday marked one of the biggest days in Mariah Carey’s career, but son Moroccan just wanted his mommy. The superstar was in the middle of her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony when the 4-year-old crashed some photos, and ended up getting dragged away. See pictures and video below.
Carey was honored with the 2,556th star on the famous Los Angeles walkaway. The festivities included a formal ceremony, where Lee Daniels, Brett Ratner, and L.A. Reid all gave speeches. Daniels, who directed Carey in Precious, revealed the singer will appear on his hit series “Empire.” Carey made sure to include Moroccan and twin sister Monroe in the proceedings, bringing them both on stage for time at the podium.
They also joined their famous mother for the actual unveiling of Carey’s star. The performer and her guests all posed for group photos but, per tradition, some solo shots of Carey lounging with her plaque were required. The separation apparently was too much for Moroccan to bear, as he ran over to cuddle with his mom.
Moroccan gave Carey a hug, and (innocently) groped her boob, before laying down on the ground next to her. That’s when someone stepped in and pulled the little boy away. Moroccan cried and screamed, grabbing out for Carey, who just kept smiling, though she seemed to assure him, “It’s okay.”
While she later posted celebratory pictures from the event on Instagram, Carey has made no mention of Moroccan’s little tantrum. Interestingly, she and ex Nick Cannon often joke that Monroe is the little “diva” taking after mom, but she seemed to get through the event just fine. Of course, it’s not every day the kids are exposed to dozens of flashing cameras, screaming photographers, and hundreds of fans, so Moroccan’s meltdown is understandable.
