Mariah Carey Makes Splashy Entrance At Caesars Palace For Vegas Show (VIDEO)
Mariah Carey made a big, splashy entrance at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on Monday in preparation for her upcoming residency there. Carey arrived in a flashy 1936 pink convertible, flanked by a parade of 18 mobile billboards, each displaying her 18 Hot 100 #1 hits, which she’ll be performing during her Vegas shows. See the video below.
“Everyone in Vegas, there’s a new girl in town!” exclaimed Carey to the cheers of the large crowd assembled outside of Caesars Palace, which was surrounded by dancers and gladiators welcoming the star. A team of centurions then lifted up Carey, who was wearing a flesh-colored dress with rhinestones, and carried her around the casino like Cleopatra. As Carey was paraded around the complex, her newest song “Infinity” was played in the background.
Carey’s grand entrance coincided with the release of “Infinity,” which, as Gossip Cop reported, seemingly is a diss song directed at her estranged husband Nick Cannon. Her Las Vegas residency, titled “Mariah #1 to Infinity,” is slated to begin on May 6 at The Colosseum and run through July. Carey joins such other performers as Celine Dion, Elton John, and Shania Twain who also have held residencies at Caesars Palace.
